Our plan was to hit the road bright and early on Friday, July 28th. The fifth wheel was completely packed, and all we had left to do was hitch up to the truck and take off. Old Stone RV Resort was an excellent initial stop for the Townsends. Conveniently located next to the Evergreen Air & Space Museum, it offered a fantastic pool, gym, laundry, and showers. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We highly recommend this place to everyone! Our first major stop after Spokane was McMinnville, OR—home of the Spruce Goose and just 20 minutes from family (Titi Candra and Unc at Jachter Family Wines). Papa Steven even joined us to co-drive the BMW with Paxton and tow the RZR. The drive was supposed to take 8-9 hours, but we quickly learned our rig requires a fuel stop every two hours or 250 miles. On July 3rd, we took our 5th wheel out of storage for the final time. After months of packing, unpacking, and setting up our new home, it was time to begin living in it full-time. We kicked off this journey at "Camp Arkle" in Nine Mile Falls, WA, at our friends Brandon and Crystal's lake home for the July 4th weekend. It was a fantastic test weekend, surrounded by friends who could assist if any issues came up. Fortunately, nothing went wrong, and we had a wonderful weekend.
